NC Supreme Court Justice Paul M. Newby

Justice Newby was appointed as an Assistant United States Attorney in Raleigh where he served for over 19 years, and has now served on the NC Supreme Court since 2004. He is seeking the Chief Justice position in the 2020 elections. Recently, Justice Newby was designated a Distinguished Eagle Scout, a national honor recognizing his service to the Boy Scouts and his dedication to public service. Justice Newby and his wife, Macon, have four children and attend Christ Baptist Church in Raleigh where he is an Elder, Sunday School teacher and youth leader.

NC Secretary of State Candidate Michael LaPaglia

As the 2016 Republican nominee for Secretary of State, Michael won 48% of the statewide vote in his first attempt to unseat a 20-year Democrat incumbent. Michael is again seeking to capture this State seat and is determined to improve service, reduce fees and unnecessary regulation, and clean up corruption. A successful entrepreneur with vision and leadership, Michael works with Local, State, and Federal governments, Corporations, and Non-Profit groups across the country, using 25 solid years of real-world and life experiences. Michael, his wife, Tricia, and their son, Leo, live in Durham County.
