On behalf of the leadership team at the Frederick Douglass Foundation of North Carolina, I am writing to share an important and meaningful opportunity to celebrate a significant moment in Republican history—Juneteenth. The North Carolina Republican Party is once again partnering with the Frederick Douglass Foundation of North Carolina to host our Second Annual Juneteenth Celebration of Freedom.
This event highlights the historic role of the Republican Party, founded in 1854, whose earliest and defining achievement was advancing the cause of emancipation and ending slavery in the United States. It is a powerful reminder of our party’s foundational principles and enduring legacy.
Last year’s celebration brought together U.S. Congressmen, local mayors, and members of the NCGOP Executive Committee for an inspiring evening. This year’s program will feature song, dance, drama, and a compelling multimedia presentation that brings this history to life.
